    Located

    True Dromedary and Bactrian Camels are found in North Africa, Arabia
    and India.

    Diet

    Camels will eat salty plants, thorns, twigs, leaves, grasses and other
    plants that grow in the desert.


    Habitat

    Camels can be found from the mountainous regions of Iran, India and
    Pakistan to the flatter desert regions of Arabia and North Africa.

    Reproduction

    A female camel's pregnancy period lasts about 13 - 15 months and will
    most often have one calf.

  • Camels' humps do not hold water. Their humps are made of fatty tissue.  However, camels are especially adapt
    at surviving in hot conditions and can drink very large amounts of water in a single day.
