The lappet-faced vulture is located in some parts of northern and eastern Africa and also in southern Africa. It can be found in parts of Arabia.


The lappet-faced vulture will feed mostly on carcasses of dead animals since it is a scavenger. If necessary it may prey upon live animals.


Lappet-faced vultures live in the open and desert plain areas of Africa and Arabia. They will build their nests in trees.


Approximate size of a lappet-faced vulture: Average length is 3.5 ft.


The lappet-faced vulture will usually lay a single egg per clutch.
