The Fennec Fox is located in Northern Africa including the Sahara Desert, the Sinai Peninsula and the Arabian Peninsula.
Their diets include lizards, birds and bird eggs, rodents and also vegetation such as berries.
A Fennec Fox will dig a burrow underground and typically sleep there during the day when it is hottest.
The Fennec Fox is the smallest of the Canidae Family which includes foxes, wolves, coyotes and dogs. It averages about 15 inches in length (not including the tail) and usually weighs 3 to 3.5 pounds.
Their most noticeable trait is their large ears. Their ears help to keep it cool and also enable it to hear prey in the desert, and even under the ground.
They have litters of 2 - 5 young.
